"I Found It!"
When Fred Wardell founded Eureka in 1909, he had a hunch that it would be known for innovative products, so he named his company after an exclamation of great discovery. "Eureka" is Greek for "I found it" and history credits the Greek physicist Archimedes for making the phrase famous when he took a dip in his tub, discovered the theory of water displacement, and shouted "Eureka!"

For years, Consumers Digest has recognized the Eureka Boss SmartVac as a "Best Vacuum" and "Best Buy." The Eureka Capture vacuum won the coveted 2007 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.
Today, Eureka is part of the Electrolux family of home care products, concentrating on vacuum cleaners and other home and commercial cleaning products. We manufacture and distribute more than 130 different models under our four brands: Eureka, Electrolux, Sanitaire and Electrolux Central Vacuum Systems (formerly known as Beam).
Eureka offers a full line of vacuums, including uprights, canisters, sticks, handhelds, home built-in systems, battery-powered vacuums, steam cleaners and home cleaning systems. We also manufacture original and replacement parts, such as bags, belts and filters for nearly all makes and models of vacuum cleaner. And, we partner with Filtrete™ and ARM & HAMMER® to manufacture complete lines of vacuum accessories under these brands.
